Energy stealing? Either the skill description is misleading or I've never realized that the energy gained from this skill was stolen...

As for my fav 3 skills, before the update it was:
Barrage
Crippling Shot
Distracting Shot

Now I'd have to say
Call of Haste
Disrupting Lunge
Ferocious Strike

In my opinion,
Best three elites:
Barrage {E}
Posion Arrow {E}
Oath Shot {E}

Best normal skills and preparations:
Distracting Shot
Apply Poison
Ignite Arrows

Best three skills among all:
Poison Arrow {E}
Ignite Arrows
Distracting shot

With this three skills/preparations, you can farm =)

Punishing shot {elite}
Dual shot
Concussion shot (other than the high energy cost its funny to watch the casters try to use spells)

Dual Shot
Read the Wind
Favorable Winds

With the spirit up and the preparation, I use Dual Shot on a monk (+15% dmg while health is above 50%, Lightning Damage from shocking Bow String, 20% chance of Marksmanship +1...fun).

Monk loses 105+ hp, tries to cast Healing Breeze, gets hit with Concussion Shot.

Well being mostly a trapper now I'm all about serpent's quickness, dryder's defense and dust trap, even though the blindness got nerfed. Dryders is one of the best avoidance stances in the game. Huge elemental bonus and 75% chance to evade, plus it's WS dependant so it works great for a trapper that doesn't want to spend points in other attributes in order to pull.

since i got thsi skill just recently i havent had a chance to try it out, but the combination of applie poison and barrage shot looks promising (or barrage shot and burning arrows for that matter^^)

and i totaly agree with you guys on troll unguent, thats an all time favorit. but its not an atack skill and so its not so cool as other skills are :-)

Unfortunately that "promising combination" is a pipe dream. Reread Barrage's description.
